Miu Miu presented its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at Paris Fashion Week this season, inspired by today's ever-evolving "rationale of beauty." Kicking off the show was the work of Qatari-American artist Sophia Al-Maria, offering "a landscape of technological ruins" through digital screens which played her work, titled "Gravity & Grace."

The collection went on to offer a series of Miu Miu signatures: low-rise miniskirts, cropped blazers and shirts and plenty of embellishment, this time with a relaxed and less refined edge. As always, the showcase featured both a star-studded front row and a star-studded runway, adding Troye Sivan, Gigi Hadid and Petra Collins to the line-up for SS24.

Read on for Hypebae's summary of Miu Miu SS24.

WHO: Sydney Sweeney, Paris Hilton, Zaya Wade, Emma Chamberlain, Mia Goth, Emma Corrin and Richie Shazam were spotted attending Miu Miu's SS24 showcase, while Eddy Aldridge, May Andersen, Mame Bineta Sane, Petra Collins, Rosemary Ferguson, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Gigi Hadid, Troye Sivan, Liu Wen, Karolin Wolter and Cailee Spaeny walked the runway.

WHERE: As has been customary for Miu Miu in the past, the showcase was held at Paris' Palais d'Iena, a vibrant art museum in the heart of the city, where Miu Miu has shown for the last number of years.

SEE: SS24 saw the return of Miu Miu's visible logo waistbands, low-rise skirts and layering, this time toned down with a resort-led approach. White drawstrings reminiscent of pool shorts made their way onto puffball skirts and men's shorts, while functional garments like petticoats were dressed up with blazers and shirts. Elsewhere, New Balance 530s made an appearance, along with Church's.

TOUCH: Slouchy swimwear fabrics were paired with mohair tailoring, brocade evening dresses and embellished jackets, with layering being a key technique within the collection. Elsewhere, SS24 featured lightweight knits, thin shirts, oversized leather bombers and trenches alongside distressed suedes and leathers for a "worn-in" look.

TASTE: As always, low-rise layering continues to define Miu Miu's aesthetic, but SS24 offers a more playful, laid-back approach to the trend. Fusing low-cuts with swimwear styles, the new season allows for a more experimental take on classic silhouettes.
