Idaho Ski Resort Offering 35,000 Free Lift Tickets To College Football Fans

Fans of the Boise State Broncos football team will have a unique opportunity to score free lift tickets at the upcoming home matchup against the University of Wyoming.

Tamarack Resort, located about 2 hours north of Boise, will offer up to 35,000 free lift tickets to fans attending the home game on Saturday, October 28th, 2023.

Check out the somewhat silly announcement video below:

According to a press release shared with POWDER, fans at the Boise State game will be prompted to scan a QR code or visit a web address displayed on the stadium's jumbotron to fill out a form.

Upon completion of the form, fans will receive an email containing a promo code with instructions on how to redeem the code on Tamarack's website.

Once entered on Tamarack's website, a new QR code will be sent via email that fans can redeem this season for one free lift ticket.

College football and free skiing? Not a bad deal.

Tamarack's partnership with Boise State football seems like a viable partnership as the resort needs to pull more skiers from the metro area.

Skiers in the Boise area tend to choose Bogus Basin for weekend days trips as it's less than half the distance from downtown as Tamarack.

A free lift ticket should do the trick to encourage at least some skiers to experience Tamarack for the first time this season.

On a personal note, I was very impressed with Tamarack's diversity of terrain when I visited the resort for the first time last season.

The resort is planning a major terrain expansion in the coming years, but their current offering should satisfy the large majority of skiers.

Befriend a local, follow him or her around, and don't be afraid to go exploring if you visit Tamarack this season. The glades and off-piste terrain are quite fun.
