ICYMI: Lance Bass had an appendectomy, but these hero dogs are nursing him back to health
Bouncing back from a major surgery can be painful, tedious, and generally un-fun, but it helps to have a friend around. Especially one of the furry canine variety!
We just heard that, after having an emergency appendectomy on Sunday, Lance Bass’s foster puppies are nursing him back to health (and the surgery was successful, FYI). They’re basically the cutest little creatures we’ve ever seen, with the cutest names of Chip and Dale (due to their resemblance to chipmunks). Aww! As you can see, they’re providing all the necessary comfort. And full disclosure: We’re not even recovering from appendicitis, but these tiny things are giving us LIFE!

They’re from The Vanderpump Dog Foundation run by Lisa Vanderpump, which aims to save dogs from kill shelters. Bass is hanging on to Chip and Dale with his husband, Michael Turchin, until they find their forever home. And we have no doubt that they’re going to be found by a very lucky family. Those sweet eyes and tiny faces…
I meeeean. I'm so in love. ❤ @vanderpumpdogs #ChipAndDale

In this photo, Chip is moonlighting as a stuffed animal. And we just melted.

CAN’T HANDLE IT ANYMORE! Impossibly adorable puppies aside, we’re glad that Lance is recovering well from his surgery.

He’ll be back on his feet in no time, and back to working on the fun food drama My Kitchen Rules. And maybe he’ll end up keeping little Chip and Dale, because we can’t imagine anyone giving those puppies away after they nursed him back to health! DOGS, right? Sorry. They just get us every time.
