Ice Spice is giving “gothic coquette” for her latest red-carpet appearance.

On Wednesday, March 6, the 23-year-old rapper ditched her signature strawberry blonde curls while attending the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, instead opting for sleek rich copper red locks that were parted on the side and extended to her fingertips.

The “Barbie World” star, who was honored with a Hitmaker Award by Billboard at the event, paired her striking makeover with an elegant black ‘fit that was an edgier take on the viral Bridgerton regencycore aesthetic.

Ice Spice’s custom Wiederhoeft gown featured a structured corseted bodice which was embellished with black bows, fingerless sheer opera gloves that doubled as sleeves, and a tulle A-line skirt that was also decorated with some whimsical bows on the front.

The “Karma” singer, who recently made an appearance at the February Super Bowl alongside Taylor Swift, kept the black tulle theme going with her accessories. She paired her sheer black tights with simple black leather pumps, and drew attention to her gown’s bardot neckline with a blinged out cross necklace. A brown matte lipstick, bold winged out black eyeliner, orange eyeshadow, and fluffy brows rounded out the musician’s beauty look, and she showed off her long black coffin nails while posing for the cameras.

Ice Spice, who skyrocketed to fame with the drop of “Munch (Feelin’ U)” in 2022, alluded to her upcoming music drop on Instagram after the event. She posted an IG carousel with three different angles of her Billboard Women In Music ‘fit alongside the caption “Y2K” – a reference to her highly-anticipated debut album, which she revealed she’d finished recording just one day earlier.

While Ice Spice has yet to confirm the release date or any major details for Y2K, she did tease that her debut will feature a “crazy collaboration” in a January interview on the Today Show. In the meantime, it looks like the musician is taking her sartorial game up a notch.
