The freezer section just got even cooler.

The most anticipated part of my grocery store shopping is always the very last part: a slow perusal of the frozen desserts aisle. I can mull over what loaded sundae flavor I want to grab for a treat that week or play “Häagen-Dazs or Ben & Jerry’s” for the thousandth time (a little game in which I internally debate which brand I’m bringing home a pint of). To me, the frozen desserts aisle is the most enticing section with the biggest return on delicious investment. Even professional chefs stock their home freezers with store-bought frozen desserts.

As frozen dessert lovers, we were thrilled to see a brand-new line of ice creams grace our social media timelines. Newly released Dr. Bombay Ice Cream is rolling out now at Walmart stores nationwide. And one of the people behind the new ice cream brand is rapper-entrepreneur Snoop Dogg.

The ice cream brand is serving up pints dressed in distinctive, colorful packaging. There are seven flavors to choose from: Tropical Sherbert Swizzle, Cocoa Cream Cookie Dream, Bonus Track Brownie, Syrupy Waffle Sundaze, S’More Vibes, Iced Out Orange Cream, and Rollin’ In the Dough. According to the brand’s website, “Every flavor we’ve got will take you on a trip down memory lane and leave you feeling like you are experiencing a spoonful with Snoop. You’re gonna be constantly craving the next bite.”

Commenters on @snackolator’s Instagram post seem excited about all the flavors, particularly Syrupy Waffle Sundaze. One said, “I got the waffle one yesterday! Didn't try yet but I'm really excited,” and another said, “Going to have to check out the waffles and cream and make some homemade waffle ice cream sandwiches.”

This isn’t Snoop’s first venture into the food arena. He published a cookbook in 2018 and founded the food brand Broadus Food, which makes a variety of breakfast items. Keep an eye out at your local Walmart for the newest food brand from the rap icon. Meanwhile, we’ll keep an eye on Martha Stewart to see if she has anything to say about her friend’s playful new ice creams.
