Hurricane Florence Evacuees Can Book $0 Rentals on Airbnb

As Hurricane Florence approaches the Carolinas and Virginia, many residents of these states must leave their homes. Many residents don't have somewhere to go.

To that end, Airbnb is stepping in with $0 listings (taxes and fees will be waived) for hurricane evacuees through their Open Homes program. The rooms and houses will be available now through October 1st, and you can see what's available for evacuees here (the photo above is of this Greenville, South Carolina home.)

Currently, the program has been activated in the metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, and Macon in Georgia; Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem in North Carolina; Anderson, Columbia, Greenville, Rock Hill, and Spartanburg in South Carolina; Chattanooga, Knoxville, Johnson City, and Kingsport in Tennessee; and Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Richmond, and Roanoke in Virginia, an Airbnb press release reported yesterday. Of course, as the storm develops, this list could update.
