The actress said of 'Euphoria': "I think this show hits emotionally for a lot of folks."
JLW: It's ironic how the Democrats are all up in arms about the Federal government's handling of the COVID-19 crisis. Admittedly many things could have, should have gone better but we are where we are. (And I'm not saying that any Dem would have done any better). All of that aside, people are rightly scared and nervous about this virus. We have enough on our hands trying to deal with it right now in our own country. The virus has all but halted most businesses in this country taking a 50 year low unemployment and rising it to levels never before seen. Too many liberals are already up in arms because illegals aren't going to be getting any stimulus and don't qualify for other programs such as food stamps, unemployment and/or section 8 housing. So please, tell us why the USA should allow any more people in to this country.....people who almost certainly aren't vaccinated against even the flu, measles, chicken pox, etc.......people who can't and won't be able to work. Why should they be allowed in at all? To the authors....let's get something straight. Simply because there is violence and/or poverty in a country is NOT a reason for being granted asylum. Your article clearly states: " People fleeing violence and poverty to seek refuge in the U.S. are whisked to the nearest border crossing and returned to Mexico without a chance to apply for asylum." LOOK UP THE RULES/REGULATIONS REGARDING ASYLUM......NO WHERE DOES IT STATE THAT POVERTY AND/OR VIOLENCE ARE REASONS TO BE GRANTED ASYLUM. Even if they tried, their request would be almost immediately turned down and they would be immediately deported. If they could get to our border from their country, then they can go back home.....COVID-19 or not!
