Brooke Hogan decided not to attend her father Hulk Hogan's most-recent wedding, and she's explaining her reasoning for the choice with a public message.

The Hogan Knows Best reality series alum took to social media to address "assumptions" regarding why she was not in attendance at the ceremony, where her dad tied the knot for the third time with yoga instructor Sky Daily, explaining it was to protect her "own journey to healing" amid "continuously"-changing family dynamics.

"As many of you know, I value my privacy, but unfortunately, a lot of media outlets are making assumptions as to why I did not attend my father's third wedding," Brooke opened the note. "Instead of leaving it to speculation, I decided it's better to shut it all down here."

The communication was uploaded to Instagram as a single snapshot of a message that had been typed-out in the iPhone Notes app and shared via the platform on Monday, Sept. 25.

The 35-year-old continued: "As we all experience this with our own families, the dynamics of a family unit continuously change over the years. With that being said, my family has experienced a LOT of change. With all of it happening in the public eye, I've had to learn how to best navigate those changes as they come, which has been difficult to say the least."

She wrapped up by confirming that she skipped the event "for my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values," before sending him well wishes.

The former pro wrestler shares Brooke, as well as son Nick, 33—who was in attendance at his latest nuptials—with ex-wife Linda Hogan, whom he was married to from 1983–2009. The ex-spouses reportedly split due to infidelity. A year after his first divorce, the 70-year-old married Jennifer McDaniel, with the pair breaking up in 2021.
