As Chris Hemsworth reportedly keeps packing on muscle to play wrestling legend Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic, he also continues to receive praise from the man himself for the authenticity of his God-like gains.
In a recent set photo from the last day of filming on Thor 4, Hemsworth did what he does best: showed off his massive biceps and triceps for the camera while clad in a tanktop stretched to its absolute limits. “It’s national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate,” Hemsworth joked. (The only person not laughing, we're guessing, was Hemsworth's long-suffering stunt double, who has cheekily commented on how difficult it's been to keep up with the action star.)
The photo, naturally, caught Hogan’s attention, who has made a habit of monitoring Hemsworth’s bulk-up and verifying that the Avengers actor's physique mirrors his own at the peak of the two-time WWE Hall-of-Famer's wrestling career. After cross-posting a cropped version of the set photo to his own Instagram account, Hogan added, “My brother has that Hogan Pump on Jack, looks like he could slam Andre brother,” referring to the late wrestling legend Andre the Giant.
Hogan has previously reacted to other photos of Hemsworth’s ongoing muscle transformation. When a workout photo of Hemsworth flipping a massive tire went viral earlier this year—drawing comparisons to Hogan in the process—the wrestler responded enthusiastically on Twitter. “He’s already there! He’s ready BROTHER!" Hogan wrote at the time. "But is he good looking enough to play me lol, lol, lol."
