Hugh Jackman Uses 'Sexiest Man Alive' John Legend to Troll Ryan Reynolds
John Legend is officially the Sexiest Man Alive. People unveiled the 40-year-old singer as the newest recipient of the annual honor (which has been granted to famous men every year since 1985) this week, prompting some pretty funny responses from Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen. "The kids... do not care," she tweeted, also joking that it had been her lifelong goal to "bone the sexiest man alive."

And Teigen isn't the only one having fun with the news on social media: Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds love any excuse to reignite their long-running troll war. The actors have both previously held the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive (Jackman in 2008, Reynolds in 2010), and following the announcement that Legend was the latest guy to be awarded the title, they took to Twitter to congratulate him and welcome him into the 'Sexiest Man Alive' club... and couldn't resist sniping at each other along the way.

Jackman applauded Legend on his entry into the "prestigious group," nodding to previous winners Blake Shelton, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Idris Elba as examples of times that People has got it "right", before adding that 1 per cent of the time they don't... heavily implying that Reynolds acquired the title through chicanery or otherwise nefarious means.
The tweet was accompanied by a video in which Jackman "accidentally" drops his own 2008 People's Sexiest Man Alive cover in front of Reynolds, just to rub it in that he got there a full two years before him.
Legend, for his part, is taking the news with a little more humility. "I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure," the EGOT-winning artist told People. "Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!"
