Hugh Jackman Spotted With Pal Ryan Reynolds After Separation Announcement

Hugh Jackman is surrounding himself with good friends like Ryan Reynolds as he navigates the next chapter of his life amid his pending divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness.

The new photos show the two friends while out for a stroll in New York City on Sunday, Sept. 17, enjoying the seasonably cool weather.

It's unclear where Jackman and Reynolds were headed, but the two appeared to be deep in conversation. Given Jackman only recently announced his separation from Furness, whom the Australian actor has been married to for 27 years, it's not at all surprising that the pals were caught having an intense chat.

Just days prior, the couple—who have been married since 1996—shared that they have amicably decided to split after 27 years of marriage.

"We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," the pair said in a statement initially shared on Friday, Sept. 15. "Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority," the former couple explained. "We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness."

"We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives," the twosome added, noting, "This is the sole statement either of us will make."

Jackman and Furness first met in 1995 and wed about a year later. During their quarter of a century together, they welcomed two children: a son named Oscar, now 23, and a daughter, Ava, who is 18.
