Hugh Jackman 'Recharges' During Shirtless 'Pit Stop' at the Beach

The actor is getting some much-needed downtime.

Hugh Jackman is in reset mode! 

The Wolverine actor, 54, took to his Instagram to share some photos of himself enjoying a much-needed beach day. 

Jackman posed for three selfies while standing on the sand with the ocean waves crashing behind him during a gloomy day. 

In the first snap, he donned a white button-up that was fully open while he scrunched his lips together, seemingly making a face to prepare for the pins and needles that were about to hit his body when he jumped into the cold water. The second photo captured Jackman making another face as he clenched his teeth as hard as he could. 

The first two snaps appeared to be before photos, as Jackman's previously quaffed, dry hair was soaking wet in a third image. Oh, and he posed shirtless for the selfie after jumping in what appeared to be freezing water.

"Pit stop to recharge." the actor wrote in the caption.

"Good for you, mate!! A recharge is always good !!❤️🙌," one fan wrote in the comments. 

"I can't even shower with cold water in summer," one fan admitted. 

"Please don’t go in there… 😂😂," a third fan wrote, but it was too late–he already did the deed! 

This recharge comes over a month after Jackman wrapped his Broadway run in The Music Man. He also has been spending time in Paris for the premiere of his new movie, The Son starring Laura Dern.

The film follows a divorced couple, played by Dern and Jackman, as they attempt to take care of their teenage son during a tough period in his life.

The Son premiered in US theaters on Jan. 20
