An alligator pretending to be a door mat surprised residents in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana on Friday.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page shared a photo of the reptile relaxing on a front porch. “So….you never know what may show up on your door step!” the post read. “Just another day in the life of a St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy.”
The picture has been shared more than 2,000 times, with many commenters cracking jokes. “Brings new meaning to the welcome mat…or should I say unwelcomed mat,” Katrina Lee wrote. Jackie David said, “Now, that’s a watchdog!”
