There’s no feeling I love more than sinking into my king mattress after nine-plus hours on my feet. It’s like all the tension of the day melts away; a huge sense of relief rushes over me and a big, audible ahhhh is simply inevitable. While not much compares to that feeling (I know you’ve felt that, too), there is something similarly satisfying: slipping into cozy boots that feel like a hug for your feet. Pure ahhhhhh.
It’s one of the reasons I get so excited when I open my weather app and see that it’s, wait for it, 40 degrees. Koolburra is one of my best-kept fashion secrets, because you get Ugg-like quality at prices that you would rarely (if ever) find for real Uggs. The styles are also similar to tried-and-true Ugg options, but these mid-calf boots are particularly of interest because they look nearly identical to the tall style so many celebs have worn. They have the same brown suede outer, plus a plush, shearling-lined interior that feels like you're walking on clouds (aka, soft, fluffy, and light-as-air). Doesn’t that sound magical? Not to mention, it’ll keep your feet nice and toasty, even if you wear them sans socks.
The boots also have a trendy, practical update. Yes, I’m talking about the side zipper detailing that adds an edgy touch to an otherwise simple, mid-calf silhouette, but it also makes the shoe easy to take on and off.
