Huddy Shares His Signature Scent, Favorite Musical Albums, and Go-To Gothic Jewelry in His Seventeen Starter Pack

Chase Hudson — musically known as Huddy — is the Internet's favorite emo boy. The 20-year-old initially broke into the industry on TikTok, where he's amassed more than 32 million followers and has since built an empire as a "21st century vampire." As one of the faces of the E-boy aesthetic, Huddy released his own line of gel nail stickers so fans can recreate his signature manicures.

The TikToker is also at the forefront of the pop-punk revival thanks to songs like "All the Things I Hate About You" and "America's Sweetheart." "Every time I fall in love, I just want to fall apart," he muses on the title track of his debut album, Teenage Heartbreak, which includes collaborations with veterans like Travis Barker and All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter.

Huddy's single "Slowly Healing" is the latest track in his discography that acts as a vulnerable account of his journey with love. But, who's the man behind the music? His dog, Lucario

Chase brings his BFF and Pomeranian, Lucario, wherever he goes. "I've had Pomeranians all my life. My parents have three right now," Chase shares. "I had to get one of my own once I grew up. This is my little child."

Dior Colognes

If you ever wondered what Huddy smells like, he's likely sporting a Dior fragrance. The 20-year-old rockstar dished that he made the switch from Hollister cologne to Dior Sauvage, which has been his signature scent for the past three to four years. He also uses Gris Dior, the luxury brand's new gender-neutral scent.

AirPods

Like most of us, Chase has lost his AirPods multiple times and claims that this is probably the seventh pair he's purchased over the years. "It's an essential and if it gets lost, it immediately gets replaced. I can't live without my AirPods," he says.

As for the music he's constantly listening to on his AirPods, Chase shared his top five artists are $uicideboy$, Pierce the Veil, Lil Peep, Cigarettes After Sex, and The Smiths.

Mini Ugg Boots

While girlies have been selling out mini Uggs since Bella Hadid sported them during a casual pizza outing, guys are totally in on the trend, too.

"Uggs — I like the neutral colors as well, but black [is] the go-to," Chase tells Seventeen. "I'll wear these even as like, part of my outfit. Just throw them on like they're normal, like they're a regular boot."

Vinyl Records

As an artist, music is a huge part of Huddy's life. He keeps two record players in the "chill" areas of his house, and some of his essential vinyls are Pink Floyd's The Wall, Green Day's Dookie, and his own album, Teenage Heartbreak.

Backgammon

Chase says that Backgammon is a "recent passion" of his after he learned how to play it while on vacation in St. Bart's. "Now, I'm teaching all of my friends how to play and it quickly became an essential," he says.

Jewelry Collection

Aside from his music and TikTok presence, Chase is known for his E-boy style and aesthetic. He keeps his jewelry collection in a pouch that says "LILHUDDY," but explains that he dropped the "lil" from his stage name for the sake of evolution.

"I dropped 'lil' to become Huddy," he says. "I want people to see me as an artist and I want people to look at me and be like, 'Yeah, this is what Huddy is, and this is how he compares to LilHuddy.' This is two different people."

Journal

Like fellow TikToker-turned-musician Nessa Barrett, Chase keeps a journal on hand to write out his thoughts and all his song ideas.

"I started to realize how lost I felt without expressing my feelings," he says. "When I was journaling an idea, writing 'Slowly Healing' just kind of clicked to me. I've been overcoming a lot of problems and struggles in my life. I've just been writing it down and honestly, that's what helps."

Nintendo DS

While the Nintendo DS console is no longer being produced, it was a childhood staple for Huddy, who played games like Pokémon, Super Mario Bros, and Mario Kart. These days, he opts for vintage arcade games that he bought over the years.
