Howie Mandel said a pretty big "I'm sorry" to a former America's Got Talent contestant on Tuesday night.

During the latest round of season 16 auditions, the Deal or No Deal host recoiled after coming face to face again with Alla Novikova, who participated in a mother-son dancing act in season 11 with her 14-year-old son, Daniel. She returned to the stage this week to support her other two kids, Michael, 8, and Angelina, 6, who wanted to audition for AGT this year.

Before Michael and Angelina showed off their impressive dance moves, Simon Cowell invited Alla back on stage to tell Howie how she felt about him. It was then that AGT played back an old clip from the season 11 quarterfinals, where Howie gave Alla and Daniel, who was only nine at the time, a red buzzer during their performance.

"When we first saw you, you were a surprise … But this is the third time I’m seeing the same moves. Third strike you're out as far as I'm concerned," he remarked at the time.

Remembering that harsh feedback, Alla gave Howie a piece of her mind. "I would like to say you are actually really, really rude," she told Howie while standing on stage. "And let me tell you why. You saw a little kid performing on the stage, dancing his heart out. He was dancing with joy. He was doing his best and you were so hard on him."

Alla then revealed that after Howie gave them a red buzzer, little Daniel acted "very strong" and supported his mom. "I think it was really hard on me as well," Alla added.

Feeling bad for his past actions, Howie explained that he didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. "I want to personally apologize to you and your son. I’m so sorry," he said.

Thankfully, Alla accepted his apology and Michael and Angelina went on to perform a fun dancing act. This time, Howie was overjoyed and had nothing but nice things to say about the duo.

As for fans watching the exchange at home, some were glad to see Alla sticking up for her kids. "Don’t mess with mama bear! She let him have a piece of her mind! And I’m LOVING IT! 😂❤️❤️❤️❤️," one fan wrote on Youtube.

At the same time, others thought Howie was simply "doing his job" as a judge back in season 11 and providing honest feedback. "Sorry but it's not rude to be honest when you are the judge on a talent competition," someone else remarked.

Regardless, we're happy to see Michael and Angelina move on to the next round and follow in Alla and Daniel's footsteps. What's more, we're sure Howie is too.
