‘House of the Dragon’ Fans All Noticed the Same Episode 3 CGI Error

*spoiler alert*

House of the Dragon is one of the biggest shows around right now, so if you haven’t gotten around to bingeing what’s available of the Game of Thrones spin-off yet, we recommend you stop what you’re doing and get on it now. But if you have caught up on the first three episodes, chances are you and every other eagle-eyed fan will have noticed the first CGI error of the series. Oops….

As you’ll know from the first two eps, King Viserys suffers from an infection that eats away at his flesh (not nice, we know). And due to the two-year time jump in episode 3, it was noticed that his illness has since progressed, causing him to lose two fingers on his hand.

However, it wasn’t the actual missing fingers that caught the attention of fans—it was the fact that during one scene, King Viserys (Paddy Considine) is seen wearing the green-screen glove that’s meant to edit out the two fingers.

Of course, people were quick to call out the slight error of the editing team and took to Twitter to point out (and joke about) the mistake. “Not the green-screen glove on Viserys’s missing fingers #hotd,” one viewer said, as plenty of fans replied with their amusement.

This isn’t the first hilarious GoT production error though. Many OG fans will remember the infamous season 8 scene where a coffee cup was accidentally left in front of Daenerys Targaryen. This caused quite the stir online, as fans joked about the obvious attention-to-detail blunder. It even led to HBO directly addressing the mishap, joking on Twitter, “News from Winterfell. The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”

Iconic.
