A ‘House of Cards’ Spinoff May Be Coming to Netflix

Yesterday, Netflix announced that House of Cards will come to an end after the upcoming sixth season. But the streaming giant may press pause on impeaching Team Underwood entirely.

Netflix is in the early stages of developing a House of Cards spinoff, according to Variety. While the platform has yet to settle on a storyline, the HoC team is currently tossing around several ideas, and our best guess is the plot will take place within the One Nation, (Claire) Underwood universe.

No further details for the spinoff have been released, but we do know a potential concept revolves around Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), Frank Underwood’s (Kevin Spacey) chief of staff. (You know, the one with the bushy brow game.)

Should Netflix move forward with the spinoff, it would be a first for them, and we’re all for an entire series dedicated to Claire Underwood’s (Robin Wright) impeccable poise.

The sixth and final season of House of Cards will hit Netflix sometime in 2018.
