The House Across the Street From Kate Middleton and Prince William Is for Rent — and It's Only $850 Per Month

You may never fully live the life of a royal, but at least now you could live next to one.

The British Royal Family has homes just about everywhere in the United Kingdom. However, Prince William and Kate Middleton have a special place in their hearts for their country estate known as Amner Hall in the small town of Norfolk, England. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home is part of the larger Sandringham Estate. It’s the place they retreat to as a family when they aren’t conducting official royal business in London. It’s also a place with just about 60 other residents. And now, you can be one of them, as the house located almost directly across the street from the Cambridges is available for rent.

As Metro reported, the Sandringham Estate rents out the homes in the area, and 20 Cherry Tree — a two-bedroom, terraced cottage — is available for occupancy. The adorable home, Metro noted, comes with an oversized garden and off-road parking, and is "almost opposite" the Cambridge family. And, it’s going for just $850 a month in rent.

According to the Sandringham Estate website, it will prioritize rental applicants who use the property as a primary residence and who live and work locally. However, it will also consider applications from non-locals looking to move to the community permanently.

The new tenant will be chosen based on who the estate feels is “best suited to the property.”

There is, however, one catch for pet owners: The community has a strict no cats policy. Dogs are considered on a house-by-house basis. Clearly, the Cambridges are dog people.
