There are many things I love about Megan Thee Stallion. She’s a confident Black woman scaling the ranks in the rap genre, she makes music that makes me want to dance and “do hoodrat things with my friends,” she’s curvaceous and proud of her body and a lover of anime. Oh, and sis knows how to slay her makeup.

On multiple occasions, especially during quarantine, the resident hot girl has shown that she is more than capable of giving us a serve in the beauty department. And while she does have a makeup artist on hand, it’s really refreshing to know Meg is just like the rest of us — practicing our makeup skills at home so we can be fierce whenever we want.

That’s why it came as no surprise to me when Revlon announced on Aug. 6 that the rapper would be its newest Global Brand Ambassador. Joining the ranks alongside other female powerhouses such as Gal Gadot, Ashley Graham, Sofia Carson, Jessica Jung, Adwoa Aboah and Eniola Abioro, Meg is the newest member of the Revlon crew.

Revlon has continued to push the boundaries in beauty and representation, first with its “Unforgettable Women” campaign in the ’90s and the brand’s dedication to signing the first Black and plus-size models to beauty contracts. Revlon was also the first mainstream makeup brand to feature a woman of color in a national beauty advertisement in the ’70s, so the brand has receipts.

“I’ve always set the bar high for myself with everything I do, but to now be a brand ambassador for Revlon, it feels like a new level,” Megan said in a press release. “To me, the Revlon brand stands for both beauty and female strength and I’m excited to help define what that means to a new generation of women.”

Meg has been busy for some time, releasing songs “Girls In The Hood” and “WAP,” co-anchoring HBO Max’s reality show competition, “Legendary,” which highlights modern drag ball culture, working on her new album and pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Health Administration at Texas Southern University.

“Megan is a remarkable talent and we know she’s only going to continue to rise to new heights,” said Silvia Galfo, Revlon Global Brand President.

“When we first approached her about a partnership nearly a year ago, we were drawn to her confidence and fierce ambition as much as her power to hold nothing back. She loves to express herself with makeup and is a constant inspiration to her fans on living boldly. It’s that authenticity and unapologetic spirit that we admire, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Revlon family.”

We can’t wait to see Meg serve up some looks! Below, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite Revlon products to shop so you can also have a hot girl summer.
