On October 30, San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art honored Neri Oxman—the superstar architect, inventor, artist and designer who teaches at MIT—with its Contemporary Vision award, given annually by the museum's Modern Art Council to honor those whose work pushes visual culture forward; previous recipients include Annie Leibovitz and Kara Walker. The evening, sponsored by Max Mara and Wells Fargo, featured a conversation between Oxman and SFMOMA curator Jennifer Dunlop Fletcher followed by an awards presentation and a dinner for close to 300 guests, including Oxman's husband the financier Bill Ackman, SFMOMA director Neal Benezra, designer Yves Béhar, collector Wayee Chu, and more.
