This Hotel Chain Will Pay Your Family $15,000 to Find the Best State Fair in America

Nothing screams "summer in America" quite like a sugar-ladened pile of funnel cake, a savory corn dog, and deep-fried everything, paired with the sound of laughter and the sight of glittering lights strung up over the tents of a state fair.
While we're sure every state fair is fantastic, AmericInn by Wyndham, the family-friendly hotel brand, is looking for one special family to help them track down the best of the best state fairs. The brand will even pay the family $5,000 in cash and $10,000 in travel credit to do it.
In July, AmericInn by Wyndham announced it's looking for one family to travel to a minimum of three iconic state fairs across the Midwest over the course of a week to share their insights and experiences via social media along the way. The winning family will also contribute to the future AmericInn "Best of the Midwest Fair Guide."
"Just like state fairs, AmericInn hotels are a staple of the Midwest, connecting guests to incredible experiences throughout the heartland of America," Clem Bence, vice president and brand leader, AmericInn by Wyndham, shared with Food&Wine in a statement. "Our first-ever State Fair Family will create memories of a lifetime as they discover the best that summer fairs have to offer while relishing in the comforts of home at AmericInn."

In exchange for sharing on social media, the winning family will receive $15,000 in compensation, as well as a bag full of AmericInn swag to wear on their journey and an upgrade to Wyndham Rewards Diamond membership.
The team at AmericInn is explicitly looking for a "social-media savvy family with active social media accounts," and TikTok and Instagram are preferred. Parents or guardians must be at least 21 years old, U.S. residents with a valid federal or state-issued ID, and can drive to select locations. Travel will take place between late August to mid-September.
To apply, families can submit a written (300 words minimum) or video (1-3 minutes) application at the Fair Family website or by emailing their submission to fairfamily@americinn.com (though video submissions are highly encouraged). All submissions should highlight what makes each family the ideal candidate while showcasing their distinct personalities. All applications must be received by August 3, 2022.
