House of the Dragon fans were pretty much already obsessed with leading cast members Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke, who play Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower in HBO’s new series. However, after a video of the two discussing their favorite cocktail has gone viral over the weekend, it’s safe to say the obsession has now reached a whole new level of appreciation.

If you’ve been on TikTok in the past few days, then it’s very likely you’ll have heard the words “negroni sbagliato with prosecco in it.” The phrase comes from a video of Emma and Olivia discussing their favorite drink.

Olivia asks Emma as part of a TikTok for HBO Max, “What’s your drink of choice?” Emma then responds, “A negroni sbagliato with prosecco in it,” and Olivia replies, “Ooh, oh, stunning.”

The video has now been viewed nearly 10 million times, with the comments section full of people raving about the clip. In particular, people are obsessed with Emma’s voice and the way they say “prosecco.”

One person commented, “It’s the ‘with prosecco in it…’ for me omg Emma’s voice is just 😍.”

And another said, “Emma’s voice is like aged wine that’s extremely expensive. 😍”

On Twitter, many people were also talking about the video and saying they were now on the hunt for the perfect negroni sbagliato with prosecco in it.

One person said, “Suddenly so important that I find somewhere in London to get a rly nice negroni sbagliato with prosecco in it. This has never mattered to me before.”

And another questioned, “Wonder how many bartenders have had to make negroni sbagliatos with prosecco in it this week.”

So what actually is a negroni sbagliato with prosecco in it?

A classic negroni is made up of equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari.

The sbagliato version is named “sbagliato,” literally meaning “mistake” in Italian, after bartender Mirko Sotcchetti accidentally used sparkling wine instead of gin when creating the classic drink.

A sbagliato uses a ratio of 2:1:1 of sparkling wine (prosecco, in Emma’s case), sweet vermouth, and Campari.

It is meant to be a lighter style of the negroni while still retaining the classic bitterness of the drink.

Well, if it’s good enough for Emma, it’s good enough for us.
