Horse's Determined Cuddles With His Human Leave Her Breathless With Laughter

No matter what species your pet is, there's at least a small chance that your buddy will enjoy cuddling. Being cuddled is like a more intense version of being petted, after all, and many animals love to be petted or scratched--including horses!

It's not unusual to meet an affectionate horse, though horses who truly like to cuddle are a bit less common. Just ask Emma! This equestrian is no stranger to her horses' mannerisms, but even she was caught off guard when one of her Arabian horses decided to lie down and cuddle with her. Fortunately, she was able to catch the sweet moment on camera while she was laughing!

Watching this horse snuggle up to his favorite person has got to be the cutest thing I've seen today, especially once I heard Emma's contagious laughter on top of it. If you ask me, it's impossible not to smile while watching this sweet video.

OMG! This affectionate horse was basically on top of her, and the other horses could see nothing wrong with what was going on. In fact, they seem suspiciously unfazed by the entire thing! Emma, are you sure this wasn't part of their plan?

As sweet and well-meaning as the horse's cuddles may be, I have to applaud this horse's owner for staying calm and enjoying the moment with her four-legged friends. If that were me, I might have panicked! But if Emma panicked, then the horse would go wild, too, which could have been dangerous for everyone. Besides, she was far too busy laughing to be scared about being crushed!

"This is how I feel napping with my Great Dane," admitted commenter @acebae414. No kidding! Large dogs can take up the entire bed when they're not being conscious, and most dog owners I know would simply accept the fact. That's difficult enough as it is, but imagine sharing a bed with an Arabian horse like this big guy! Fortunately, all of their cuddles will stay out in the pasture.

Are Horses Affectionate?

Just like any animal, horses have special ways of expressing their love and affection to other horses and even people. They can't use words, of course, equestrian body language and vocalizations to show their fondness.

A horse who is happy to see you may greet you excitedly, with a whinny, a neigh, or by running up from the pasture, or they may relax in your presence. This can look a lot more subtle but is just as important when it comes to body language. Look for a lowered head, half-closed eyes, or even sitting down in your presence.

There are so many ways that horses can show their affection, and lying down for a snuggle is just one of them!
