Horse Goes Into Total 'Mama Bear Mode' with New Foal and It's Beyond Sweet

This little foal has the best protector.

Welcoming a new baby can turn the entire world upside down, but this sweet mama horse named Trudy knows exactly what she's doing. As her owner explains in an adorable TikTok video on her account @katievanslyke, Trudy goes into 'mama bear mode' whenever she welcomes a little one. Luckily, Trudy's human mama understands!

Honestly, it's really endearing to see this horse acting as such a devoted mother. No wonder Katie felt so compelled to share this sweet moment!

Aww! Trudy is such a good mom! Her baby is positively adorable--even if we could barely get a look. We suppose this is 'motherly instincts' at its finest!

"My son thinks she looks like a parent without coffee," wrote commenter @troublekittycat. LMAO! Honestly, though--he's not wrong. Trudy could definitely use a good, long nap after caring for her foal around the clock. No wonder she's so cranky!

"She's perfected the 'mare stare' pretty well," said @eastern406_farmer. No kidding! We would definitely feel intimidated if we were getting that kind of look, so we suppose it's pretty effective. No one will be messing with Trudy's baby--that's for sure!

@Janetroenigk0816 wrote, "I always love when they are super protective then it’s like 'get away from me kid,'" LOL! The massive change in feelings can be quite funny (and even abrupt), but sometimes that's how it goes! We suppose we'll have to wait and see if that's how it plays out for Trudy, too.
