How much is the Powerball jackpot?

The Powerball jackpot has reached $1 billion for the third time in the lottery game’s 31-year history, with an estimated cash value of $516.8 million.

It ranks as the seventh largest U.S. lottery jackpot and third largest Powerball jackpot, according to Powerball.

No Powerball tickets matched all six numbers drawn and the red Powerball on Monday night, leaving many Powerball players to try their luck once again and hold out hope during tonight’s drawing.

Overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9 and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, Powerball reports.

How much is the Mega Millions jackpot?

After there were no Mega Millions jackpot winners in Tuesday night’s drawing, the overall payout increased to $720 million, with a cash option of $369.6 million.

This is the fifth largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. The top four jackpots continued rolling past $1 billion during their runs.

The next Mega Millions drawing takes place on Friday, July 21.

The odds of matching all five white balls is 12,607,306-to-1. The odds of winning the jackpot are 302,575,350-to-1, Mega Millions reports.
