Hopeful NYC Shelter Dog Shows Potential Adopters Her Favorite Toy As They Walk By

Visiting an animal shelter to look for your next BFF can be such a bittersweet experience. True, you get to meet lots of sweet rescue animals and pick out your perfect match, but it can be difficult to see so many loving animals forced to wait for their forever homes in a kennel. Even though shelter volunteers do all they can to keep their residents feeling happy and stimulated, it's impossible to keep them all feeling their best.

That's why it's so bittersweet to see 1-year-old shelter pup Chamomile showing off her favorite toy to potential adopters. I'm so glad to see that she's able to have a bit of fun while in the shelter, but it would be so much better if she were playing in her forever home. Now that the Animal Care Centers of NYC posted this adorable video of the Pittie princess on November 27, maybe she'll find her Happily Ever After!

Aww--what a sweet girl! Chamomile looks so cute with her dog toy in her mouth, and her eyes could melt any soul. It's no wonder why her friends at the animal shelter wanted to give her a shoutout!

Unsurprisingly, she's stealing hearts left and right, too. Commenters couldn't say enough about how precious she is, and @chelseybee even said that the pup has "the sweetest face. Someone will be so lucky to take this girl home." You're so right! She gives potential pet adopters the cutest first impression ever, and it sounds like she acts just as gentle as she looks.

In the video's description, @nycacc explains that this pit bull "is as sweet and calm as the tea she is named after." She sounds like the perfect lap dog or couch buddy to watch holiday movies with, though you know she's going to bring her favorite toy with her! Despite being so calm, she's only a year old, so Chamomile and her forever person are going to have many cozy winters to enjoy together. This is just the beginning of her story!
