Adding a backsplash to your kitchen is a great way to create a custom look within your kitchen space. And depending on the material- such as tile- it can be a lot easier to clean up after a messy cooking season, and reduce the pressure of wall stains from food and drinks. But with so many options on the market, choosing the right kitchen backsplash can be incredibly difficult. And not only that but the actual act of installing tile is incredibly messy and tedious. Well Instagram user and home DIYer @alexisnicolehome brought us the hack we have all been begging for… installing a tile backsplash without using a messy mortar, and we are basically freaking out, check out the process below!

Installing a tile backsplash is an incredibly difficult process. There is a reason that the pros get paid so well to do it, because it is tedious, time-consuming, and difficult to make it look good.

If you were going to hire a tiling company, contractor, or other professional to do the installation it would cost nearly double, triple, or maybe even quadruple the price you would pay to do it all yourself. And if you are wanting to tackle it alone, it's messy and really difficult to know when the mortar has set up enough to lay tiles in it.

Thai is where this woman's hack comes in hand. She uses a thick adhesive double sided sticky sheet and applies it to the areas she is adding the tiles. She presses them onto the adhesive sheets and once placed adds grout between them, letting it dry like normal tiles. So far out has held up great for the woman and took nearly all the hard work out of the process!
