HomeGoods Makes a Bold Move Pet Parents Will Love

Pet ownership has been steadily rising for years with nearly 66% of households in the U.S. owning a pet. Because of this, and the fact that not as many people are having children, companies are shifting their focus from kid-friendly to pet-friendly options.

From restaurants and hotels allowing pets to goat yoga sessions, we’re already seeing the world incorporating animals more and more. O.M.G. This honestly seems a little too good to be true. Looks like we’ll be taking a trip to the nearest HomeGoods to investigate ourselves. As pet parents, we’re overjoyed by this news. The only ones who might be more excited than us are our pets because now we're going to spoil them even more. We're curious though, how are parents with children taking the news?

Other companies like Hello Fresh are also tapping into the pet market. Their new product called The Pet Table, which was developed with a team of veterinarians, is a food subscription-based service for animals. The product will be initially geared toward dogs. Each box will be customized to a specific dog and his or her caloric needs and will include human-grade fresh and air-dried recipes.

This isn’t just happening on the consumer side either. According to an article from Forbes, pet-friendly workplaces are also on the rise. People are looking for companies to work for that include pet-friendly benefits and office spaces. As pet ownership continues to rise and people prioritize putting their fur babies first, we're curious to see how companies and employers will keep up with demand.
