You only have a few more days of shopping online at HomeGoods. The home furniture brand stated they’re closing online stores after October 21 to refocus their attention on in-person stores and plans to open new brick-and-mortar locations in place of their online storefront.

“We are committed to bringing you an amazing experience—one that will continue to deliver a large selection of quality goods at incredible savings,” reads the email announcement sent out to customers. “In an effort to deliver on this vision, we’ve made the decision to focus our resources on our brick-and-mortar stores and will no longer offer online shopping after October 21st.”

HomeGoods launched their shoppable site in September 2021 (although they had an online presence before) and opened its real-life doors in 1992, gaining popularity for its unmatched discounts on name-brand products. The vast furnishing offerings have buyers describing the HomeGoods shopping experience as a treasure hunt or high-quality flea market. Part of the allure comes from walking around and seeing what catches your eye—plus, the store regularly restocks its shelves (and products sell out quick), leaving some regular shoppers making weekly trips to see what's new.

Despite the sudden change in its online offerings, HomeGoods plans to announce their new store openings in the coming weeks. The brand already boasts over 900 stores across the U.S., with the HomeGoods website currently advertising new grand openings in 10 different states. With most recurring shoppers enjoying the in-store hunt for unique decor items, it’s not too surprising that the brand is shifting its efforts toward opening new locations.

We will stop taking orders from customers at that time [October 21] and complete our final shipments," HomeGoods announced in their official statement. "We are grateful for our passionate HomeGoods.com customers and invite them to continue shopping for home fashion and decor at our more than 900 HomeGoods stores across the United States, or online at our sister sites www.tjmaxx.com, www.marshalls.com, and www.sierra.com."

You can still take advantage of the final few days to purchase HomeGoods products online. After that, you'll be able to find their items on sister brands online stores. If you’re looking for in-person stores near you, keep an eye out for new store openings—announcements will continue to be released on the HomeGoods website.
