This Home Alone Christmas Reunion Trailer Will Give You Life

There are few things I can relate to more during the holiday season than when Kevin McCallister yells "I'm eating junk and watching rubbish, you better come out and stop me" in the original Home Alone. This line, along many other classics, has been reason enough to make young Macaulay Culkin the mascot of every Christmas for me (I watch each of his Home Alone movies approximately 37 times from December 1st to New Years-no exaggeration.)

Because of this, when I saw the Home Alone 5 Christmas Reunion trailer on Hallmark's Movies & Mysteries Youtube channel, I nearly cried. The parody features mashed-up footage of some of the original cast, including the OG Marv (Daniel Stern), Harry (Joe Pesci), Buzz (Devin Ratray), Fuller (Kieran Culkin), and, of course, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin). Plus, some friendly new faces, like Buzz's girlfriend:

Who apparently grew up to be Melissa McCarthy and I couldn't be happier:

Though the trailer starts out like a walk down memory lane for Home Alone fanatics like myself, it quickly takes a turn. Kevin, who is now much older, never fully recovered since having defended his home from "two psychopath home invaders" when he was just 8-years-old. Now, Marv and Harry (said burglars) have to watch out since Kevin is back in town for the family reunion-and it looks like Buzz is ready to fight, too.

But don't let me spoil it for you. Watch the full Home Alone parody below and see how the video was made-because, sadly, they didn't all come together to film this.

With that, I say, merry Christmas ya filthy animals! Here's to hoping another, much jollier Home Alone Christmas Reunion might actually come out in 2019?
