Holy Smokes, Chrissy Teigen’s Net Worth Is High

Chrissy Teigen has come a long way since she was discovered while working in a surf shop in Huntington Beach, California.

Not only does she have several shows on the air (Lip Sync Battle and Bring the Funny), but she’s also a New York Times best-selling author of two cookbooks (Cravings and Cravings: Hungry for More), a model, John Legend’s inspiration behind “All of Me” (and his wife) and a mother of two. Oh, did we also mention she’s worth a cool $26 million?

In addition to all of her aforementioned accomplishments, Teigen also earns her bucks through TV hosting gigs and brand collaborations. Let’s break down how exactly she made the transition from Queen of Twitter to multimillionaire.

Her Modeling

The 33-year-old got her start in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010 and has been a fixture in the special edition magazine ever since. She’s also modeled for Victoria’s Secret and more, making her number three on the 2017 and 2018 Forbes ranking of highest-paid models.

Her TV Career

Not only is she a co-host on Lip Sync Battle and a judge on Bring the Funny, but she’s also working on a brand-new show with her mom called Chrissy’s Court.

Her Twitter

Although it’s not clear how much money Teigen earns through her Twitter account (which boasts 11.8 million followers), her fire tweets did ultimately land her a book deal when an editor from publisher Clarkson Potter came across her account and her So Delushious food blog.

Her Cookbooks

Speaking of Teigen’s book deal, her first cookbook Cravings sold close to 500,000 and is still on the New York Times best-sellers list three years after its publication. At a list price of $30, she raked in about $12 million in sales. Her second book, Cravings: Hungry for More, came out in 2018 and has sold upward of 150,000 copies.

Thanks to the massive success of her cookbooks, Teigen also launched a cookware line with Target (that mostly sells out instantly) and partnered with Blue Apron to make Cravings-inspired meal kits.

Her Brand Collaborations

With a huge social following and name recognition to boot, many brands have sought out Teigen for partnership opportunities. Most recently she designed a collection of sunglasses with Australian brand Quay. She also created a best-selling face palette with Becca Cosmetics and partnered with Pampers for its Pure Collection. She and Legend even starred in a Google Assistant commercial earlier this year that played during the Oscars.

While there aren’t official reports about how much Teigen has earned from each of her endeavors, she’s definitely crushing it.
