Open to both amateur and professional artists aged 16 years and older, the contest will see the winner's artwork featured on merchandise to promote the upcoming season.

The winning design, selected by market staff and contest sponsor Fris Supply Shop, will be featured on items like posters, tote bags, mugs and magnets.

More than 50 entries were received during last year's competition, according to marketing coordinator Kara de Alvare.

"It was a great turnout, we thought, for our first year,” de Alvare told The Sentinel. “Just so many incredible works of art. It was so difficult choosing the winning poster last year, but we found a great design and people in the community loved it, visitors loved it. We're really excited to bring the contest back again.”
