The vinous love dates back to Thomas Jefferson's heyday when he was the architect of what is today's Barboursville Winery, and attempted himself to make world-class wine like those he came to love so much during his time as Ambassador to France from 1785-1789. Imagine the crazy vintages he got to enjoy! Today, there are serious vineyards run by incredible vigneron and winemakers crafting some of the top wines made in America.
