Every family has that member who, intentionally or not, sucks the fun out of holiday celebrations (*raises hand). And with Halloween approaching, I’ve been reminded by my husband and three children that this year, they’re rebuking my dismissal of festive holiday decor and going full throttle: scary edition.
A mother’s guilt has gotten the best of me, so in order to find a happy medium, I’m eyeing sleek, modern, and non-cheesy Halloween-themed items that add an ominous vibe without going overboard. To start, Threshold’s simple dark grass and leaf wreath can be placed on any wall space, and this medium-sized black glass pumpkin is a subtle statement piece. As someone who generally avoids loud pops of color in my home, I’m a fan of the near-monochromatic look of this Threshold wreath, which combines faux black grass with deep burgundy leaves that really stand out in proper lighting.
