Hold Up, Why Isn't Taylor Swift At The 2021 MTV VMAs?

While she's not taking over TikTok or surprise-dropping new music, Taylor Swift is known for sweeping at awards shows thanks to her legendary discography. The "Willow" singer is actually up for a few moon man awards at the 2021 MTV VMAs, including Best Pop Video, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, and Song of the Year.

She hasn't attended the awards in person since she performed "Lover" and "You Need To Calm Down" in 2019, so fans are pretty eager to see her make her way back to the VMAs. However, Swifties were quick to notice that she isn't at the show this year and, like any superfan in this day and age, they had something to say on Twitter.

So, where is Taylor? She may not be at the VMAs, but she's standing by her man and supporting his success. According to Twitter, she's reportedly in Ireland with Joe Alwyn for the wrap party of his upcoming film, Conversation With Friends.

There you have it, folks. While Tay isn't at this year's VMAs, she's living it up in Belfast with her muse. It seems like she's reeling in the last moments of summer before autumn officially commences with the release of Red (Taylor's Version).
