So, what exactly is a sipping tequila? Well, it’s simply any tequila you can enjoy sipping. Generally, it’s recommended that you sip your tequila straight and at room temperature. There are new tequila brands seemingly every week, but it’s not often that a new kind of tequila comes around. Maestro Dobel is a brand that has innovated in the world of Cristalino tequilas. What exactly is a Cristalino? Cristalino tequilas are aged (añejo) and then filtered, resulting in an aged tequila that’s clear. In the case of Maestro Dobel Diamante, it’s a blend of extra añejo, añejo and reposado tequilas. The tequila is then filtered, resulting in a tequila that’s as clear as a blanco. Despite the alcohol smell on the nose, Diamante goes down smoothly and has a mild but pleasant flavor that’s sipping friendly.
