Hoda Kotb Shocked by News She Hit a Huge Milestone at ‘Today’ Show

The host was completely surprised by the announcement.

Hoda Kotb was working on the Today show this morning, chatting with her co-hosts like any other day, when Savannah Guthrie shared the news that April 6, 2023, is her 25th anniversary at NBC.

Kotb was visibly shocked, having not realized the monumental milestone herself. Her shock quickly turned to happiness as everyone celebrated the great news.

The Today show shared a clip of the moment on Instagram, captioning it, "@hodakotb started her career at NBC 25 years ago today! So we surprised her with a throwback to celebrate the anniversary. Congratulations, Hoda! To many more iconic memories 🥰."

After Guthrie revealed the anniversary, the Today show shared clips of Kotb anchoring NBC over the years.

Coincidentally, someone in the crowd behind them brought signs saying, "25 years ago," and "She said yes," likely in reference to a wedding anniversary. But Guthrie joked, "I don't know, is that why you brought the sign? '25 years ago, she said yes,' to NBC?"

Along with Guthrie, Al Roker, Carson Daly, and Craig Melvin were by Kotb's side during the meaningful moment. They all wished her a happy anniversary, with Roker saying, "We are blessed. Yes, we are." Kotb then shared an emotional hug with Guthrie.

Barbara Corcoran of Shark Tank commented on the Instagram post, "An incredible 25 years! ❤️."

Many fans also celebrated the momentous milestone in the comments on Instagram, sharing what they love about Kotb.
