It's been close to one year since Today show host Hoda Kotb announced that she and her longtime partner Joel Schiffman went their separate ways. Though it's taken some time for her to get back out in the dating field, the NBC star is still hopeful about finding love again.

During a recent taping of Hoda and Jenna, the TV personality shared with Jenna Bush Hager how she feels about her current romantic life. Folks may remember that in early October, Hoda agreed to let Jenna set her up on potential dates. At the time, the mom of two explained that she was OK letting her co-host assist on the journey, thanks to their solid friendship. And as the I Really Needed This Today author noted, she doesn't feel alone in knowing she will be in love once more.

"My sister said to me once, 'Are you afraid of being by yourself?' And I know this is so weird, but I said to her, 'I am not going to be by myself,'" she said during Today's fourth hour. "I actually know it, as sure as I'm sitting next to you at this desk ... I know with certainty — and it's the strangest feeling to know that."

She continued: "Like, I can sometimes feel him, but I don't see what he looks like, but I feel like it will happen. So if someone is like, 'Maybe you'll meet someone by Christmas …. ' Maybe! I'm not on the hunt, but I have a weird, tingly Spidey-sense about it."

Back in January, Hoda shared that she and her former fiancé Joel called off their engagement. The two decided to end their eight-year-long relationship following "meaningful conversations over the holidays." Since then, they've remained friends and continue co-parents to their daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, together.

Now, in terms of Jenna's challenge to find Hoda a date, it looks like there may be a snag. Speaking with Good Housekeeping, the duo revealed the latest on the search.

"We don’t have an update," Jenna told us. "This is the thing. She is a very, very special human being, so nothing is going to happen overnight. But something magical will happen, whether I have something to do with it or not. But she deserves the most magnificent person … There’s something out there for her. We just have to give it some time."

"I believe. I believe he’s out there. I have nothing to base it on," Hoda added. "Me too," Jenna said.
