Hoda Kotb Shared Rare Instagram Photos of Baby Hope Celebrating Her First Birthday

A year has flown by for Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb and her fiancé, Joel Schiffman.

Last April, the two adopted and welcomed baby Hope Catherine into their family, officially making Haley Joy a big sister. This Easter Sunday, Hope celebrated her first birthday with a Sesame Street-themed party, wearing an Elmo polka-dot dress and blowing out a candle on a yellow-frosted, sprinkle-covered cake.

Although Hoda’s family wasn’t able to join the festivities in person, it didn’t make the occasion any less special. Hoda’s mom, Sameha Kotb, her sister, Hala, and her brother, Adel, hopped on Zoom for a virtual birthday party to celebrate Hope’s milestone.

“As my best friend @karenswensen said.. Hope blooms this Easter!" Hoda captioned a set of photos on Instagram. "Happy bday Hope! #1 ❤️❤️."

Hoda’s fans immediately began flooding the comments section with countless birthday wishes.

“OMG! She is 1 already. Time flies. Happy Easter and Happy birthday Hope 🎉,” one person wrote. “So many blessings so happy for you all! Happy Birthday Hope 🎉,” another added.

Earlier in the day, the 55-year-old daytime host shared a heartwarming photo of Haley and Hope wearing matching outfits and donning bunny ears. Hoda captioned the moment: “Happy easter xoxo.”
