It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, And These 17 Brands Deserve Your Support Now And Always

Let’s cut to the chase: The best way to support non-white communities is by donating to and volunteering for organizations and charities that benefit them directly. For example, the United We Dream network supports DACA recipients and immigrants who are facing deportation. If you’re seeking out additional ways to be an ally to the Hispanic communities during Hispanic Heritage Month, making an effort to shop from Hispanic-owned and founded brands is a good place to start.

Supporting these smaller business is important now more than ever, given that so many of them have faced financial strain during the Coronavirus pandemic. The prices at these spots are similar to what you’d find at larger retailers, only these pieces have been handcrafted by local artisans or designed by talented creatives, making them that much more special. During Hispanic Heritage Month (and forever, of course!), we recommend opting to spend your hard-earned coin at a Latinx-owned business or two. There are so many from which to choose—as you’ll see if you keep reading—and the products are simply unmatched.
