Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mom is gone, but she’ll never be forgotten. The former presidential candidate shared a throwback photo of herself with her late mom, Dorothy Howell Rodham, in honor of Mother’s Day.

“Happy Mother’s Day,” Clinton tweeted, along with the picture. Some of Clinton’s followers were quick to reply with messages about how much Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, looks like Rodham.

Clinton also shared another photo of her mom on Instagram, along with a vintage photo of herself and Chelsea. “Happy Mother’s Day! I’ll always be so grateful for this mom, and to be this daughter’s mother,” Clinton captioned the Instagram post.

Clinton’s mother, Dorothy Rodham, passed away in 2011, and the Clinton Foundation issued a statement at the time about her influence on the family.

“Her story was a quintessentially American one, largely because she wrote it herself,” the statement read, in part. “She overcame abandonment and hardship as a young girl to become the remarkable woman she was — a warm, generous and strong woman; an intellectual; a woman who told a great joke and always got the joke; an extraordinary friend and, most of all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.”

Clinton also shared a tribute to her mom in her book Hard Choices, writing about how selfless her mom was.

“Mom measured her own life by how much she was able to help us and serve others,” Clinton wrote, according to The Washington Post. “I knew that if she was still with us, she would be urging us to do the same. Never rest on your laurels. Never quit. Never stop working to make the world a better place. That’s our unfinished business.”

It is clear from her latest tweet and Instagram that the influence of Dorothy Rodham is still very much a part of Hillary Clinton’s daily life.
