The veteran lawyer isn't too upset, though.

Kim Kardashian proved she’s taking her legal studies seriously when she beat former first lady Hillary Clinton in a battle of knowledge on Clinton’s upcoming Apple TV+ series, Gutsy.

"I think Kim has an unfair advantage," Hillary joked in the episode, which was previewed exclusively by People. Her daughter, Chelsea, played the part of the quizmaster, and acknowledged, "Kim has studied more recently than you."

Kardashian first announced she was studying to become a lawyer in 2019, with the goal of properly educating herself so that she could help fix broken judicial systems. She passed the baby bar exam earlier this year, but it took a few tries. And clearly, that knowledge is fresh in her mind!

According to People, after a round of questions about deadly force, extortion versus robbery, and the validity of claims of self-defense, Kardashian won with a whopping 11-4 score.

In a recent interview with the publication to discuss the upcoming show, which is based on the Clinton women’s 2019 bestseller The Book of Gutsy Women, Chelsea gave her mom some grace for the loss. "I think she just needs to work on her reaction time," she said. "Sometimes, I could see my mom knew what the answer was, but she wouldn't hit the buzzer in time."

Hillary described the loss as “heartbreaking,” but she and her daughter both said they walked away from the set that day feeling impressed with Kardashian’s performance. "She worked so hard (on the bar) and persevered," she said.

In the docuseries, which premieres on Sept 9, the mother-daughter duo “speak with pioneering women artists, activists, community leaders and everyday heroes who show us what it truly means to be gutsy,” per Apple.

"We didn't interview her about fashion ... her many lines of commerce ... her personal life. We interviewed about what she was doing to help get people who were unjustly or unfairly incarcerated have a second chance," Hillary said of Kardashian.

The interaction left Chelsea ready to join Kardashian’s cause. "She's very self-aware that her celebrity can make a difference positively, and where it may make a negative difference. She never wants to make a negative difference, so being judicious and thoughtful about when and where and how she engages was really impressive to us. I want, even beyond this series, to do whatever I can to help her in that work," she said.

If the series gets picked up for a second season, perhaps Clinton can spend some time working on her reaction times and the two can schedule a rematch.
