Hilary Swank attended the premiere of her latest film, “Ordinary Angels,” on Monday in New York.

The actress sported one of this season’s hottest hues: red, opting for an off-the-shoulder gown by Vivienne Westwood. With a plunging neckline and delicate draping, Swank’s frock featured a corseted bodice. Accessorizing with diamond jewels by Kwiat and Fred Leighton, she completed her look with a pair of Manolo Blahnik pumps.

Stylist Thomas Carter Phillips dressed Swank for the occasion. Phillips also counts stars like Zosia Mamet, Emmy Rossum and “The White Lotus” star Meghann Fahy as clients.

Hairdresser DJ Quintero styled Swank’s brunette tresses in a side part with waves, while the actress’ makeup included brown eyeliner, rosy blush and a matching lip.

Swank is the latest star to embrace the red trend. Rouge hues are poised for popularity this year after fiery shades took the runways of Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead by storm during the fall 2023 season. Stars like Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh and Kylie Jenner have brought the trend into 2024, incorporating red at events like the Golden Globes and Paris haute couture week.

“Ordinary Angels,” costarring Alan Ritchson, is inspired by a true story. “I play this larger than life woman, she needs a second chance at life,” Swank told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show,” adding, “she finds that through helping another human being in need. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. It’s a feel-good movie and I think we really need that in this time.”

Swank previously served as the face for Guerlain’s Insolence fragrance. She also launched her own line of clothing called Mission Statement in 2016.
