Hilary Swank Reveals Her Twins’ Unique Names Nearly a Year After Their Birth: ‘What Better Day'

Hilary Swank kept fans on their toes, not revealing the names of her twins — whom she welcomed last year with husband Philip Schneider — for a whole 10 months. The Million Dollar Baby star shared a special Valentine’s Day post on Instagram with a picture of her son and daughter at the beach. The two are clad in colorful rash guards and big white hats (yay sun protection!) and are sitting in the sand, looking at the ocean.
“I figured what better day to share the names of my two little loves with you all first👼🏼👼🏼💝,” she captioned the post.

Behind her kiddos, their names are spelled in seaweed with a green heart in between the two.
If we’re using the colors of their rash guards as a guide (gender norms and all), we’re going to say her daughter’s name is Aya and her son is Ohm. How sweet and unique!
Aya has Hebrew origins and means “bird.” Whereas Ohm is a unit of electrical resistance. Hopefully we’ll hear soon how Swank and Schneider chose these special 3-letter names for their two cuties. “Beautiful names Hilary!!!! Oh they’re so big!” one follower said. “This was such a great Valentine’s Day gift thank you Hilary for finally sharing the names of your beautiful twins with us,” another commented.
Swank’s Big Question
The actress’ caption didn’t end there. “P.S.,” she said. “Who else has babies that think sand is edible?😅” And so many followers could (unfortunately) relate. *Sigh*
They said things like, “yes my babies also think sand is edible lol! 😂😂, “Not just sand unfortunately??!😂,” and “All of my babies have eaten sand and none have died, so maybe they know something we don’t 🤔.”
Even if Aya and/or Ohm are into eating sand, we know Swank will still love them forever. At least based on how the pretty private mom was feeling about motherhood in May! She shared some photos on her Instagram story which included a photo of her reading I’ll Love You Forever to her babies. It’s a sweet board book about a polar bear who reassures their cub that the loving bond between a parent and child will never be broken — no matter what changes in their lives.
