  • Hilary Duff's fiancé Matthew Koma just dragged Zedd in an epically long Instagram rant.

  • Matthew called Zedd "toxic" and "self serving," and said he's "the worst."

For reasons that remain a mystery, Hilary Duff's fiancé Matthew Koma just hit Instagram and popped right TF off about his former friend and collaborator Zedd. In a lengthy Instagram note to fans, Matthew called Zedd "toxic" and "self serving." TO QUOTE:

"In response to years of: 'What happened with you & Zedd.' I want to finally be transparent about this...it's a really sad truth because I'm extremely proud of the work he and I did together...unfortunately my good feelings toward those songs have all but disappeared as they were experienced alongside someone to toxic and self serving that it occupied the space where any happiness could exist."

Matthew went on to say that the story isn't that dramatic and simply comes down to "Shitty people suck and when they're successful, people are afraid to blow the whistle." But he told it anyway, saying he met Zedd (who's real name is Anton Zaslavski) when they were "equals" but his "inferiority complex was made obvious."

Matthew said it started with small things, like Zedd taking credit for writing their songs and not even mentioning him, not being paid for his work, and not being invited to the Grammys for a song he worked on.

"More or less, I was just brushed under the rug while he took all the credit," he continued. "Which felt confusing because the millions of people who connected to 'Clarity' and those other songs, seemed to connect to the lyrics/emotion/melodies I had written. But he deemed his Kick Drum sound the driving force and left me out of all shared credit."

Matthew also got a little petty in the post, calling Zedd out for not being able to play the piano as well as he claims, and not-so-subtly musing "he's the worst." He wrapped up his post saying "[I'd] rather work at Starbucks and clean the toilers than ever experience that abusive dynamic again. Toxicity doesn't breed happiness. Alexa, play 'Happy Now.' Actually please don't."

THIS! IS! A! LOT!
