Back in the heyday of glittery butterfly clips and those mystifying scrunchie tops, I wanted nothing more than to have access to Lizzie McGuire’s entire wardrobe. I would spend my post-elementary school afternoons playing an online game where you could dress up the characters, and I even had a jean jacket with Lizzie’s cartoon alter ego embroidered on the back. Needless to say, I was a Lizzie McGuire stan.

As fate would have it, I now find myself just as inspired by Hilary Duff’s IRL style choices as I was by her on-screen persona 18 years ago. So when the Younger star recently traded in her go-to Levi’s 501 jeans for another celeb-loved brand — J Brand’s Jules High Rise Straight Jeans — I, naturally, did a double-take.

Completing the recipe for a casual LA getup if ever there was one, Duff teamed an assortment of delicate layered gold jewelry, Karen Walker sunglasses, and a chic black tee with the jeans.
