Hilary Duff Just Paid Homage to Lizzie McGuire in the Chicest Way Possible

As millennials that grew up watching Lizzie McGuire, we’ll probably always have a soft spot in our hearts for Hilary Duff. As it turns out, the Younger star does too — the former Disney queen has teamed up with GlassesUSA on a line of fashionable frames that includes a Lizzie-inspired design her famed character would flip for.

The frames are part of Duff’s new eyeglasses line, Muse x Hilary Duff, which features 24 pairs of budget-friendly lenses ranging from $89 to $125.

As the mother of one explained to Observer, she had fellow women at the forefront of her mind when designing the collection. “The line is targeted towards wanting to make women feel strong, confident and beautiful and like they don’t need to choose.”

Talking to People, Duff added, “It’s from women in history that have really made their stamp on the world. We’re in a really great time for women… I feel like women are really getting to stand in the front.”

Consequently, each of the 24 styles is named after iconic women in history, including Jane Austen, Clara Barton, Joan of Arc, and Marilyn Monroe. “Naming them, it kind of came to me — just the inspiration was wanting women to feel confident and naming them [after] people that are badass,” she told the outlet.

It’s The Lizzie, however, that is Duff’s personal fave. “Of course we threw a little Lizzie up in the mix,” she told Observer. “They’re actually my favorite ones.”

Beyond having empowering names, however, each frame is also customizable, with multiple colors available and options to convert each one into sunglasses, giving more than 80 frame styles (!) in total, because, as she tells People, “Glasses are such a personal thing.”
