Hilary Duff compared her diet to Gwyneth Paltrow's controversial one.

When the actress appeared on Molly Sims' podcast Lipstick on the Rim, the host asked Duff what her typical meals are. The Lizzie McGuire alum said she's obsessed with cauliflower sandwich rounds. "I put it in the air fryer, make it hard [and] crispy, put like egg salad on top of it, or I'll put like avocado or I'll put a fried egg and a vegan sausage." She also said she likes to eat avocado and overnight oats.

However, she then confessed that she sometimes skips meals altogether. "Gwyneth's in trouble for saying this, but sometimes I try to just drink coffee in the morning and starve off my hunger," admitted Duff. Sims added, "I do that too."

Paltrow received plenty of backlash when she spoke out on podcast The Art of Being Well about strictly restricting her meals throughout the day and doing intermittent fasting. She then defended her diet on Instagram, saying it helps her lower inflammation caused by long COVID.

On Lipstick on the Rim, the How I Met Your Father star also talked about her body image, saying she would "love to have the skinniest little pencil arms" but "that's never going to happen." She joked that she blames her mom for her genes that didn't give her thin arms, saying, "I call my mom and curse her out, 'Thanks a lot! This is all because of you!'"

Sims added that she's asked plastic surgeons if she'd be able to get arm surgery without a scar and has been told there's no way.

Back in December, the Disney Channel alum opened up to Women's Health Australia about struggling with body image issues and having an eating disorder during her teen years. "Because of my career path, I can't help but be like, 'I am on camera and actresses are skinny.' It was horrifying," she said.
