The Hilarious Reason Why Fenty Beauty Is Replacing This Woman's Killawatt Highlighter

When it comes to beauty catastrophes, shattered makeup is easily at the top of the list. There's simply nothing like seeing a precious eye shadow or highlighter palette busted to smithereens before your eyes — especially after you spent your hard-earned money on it. Just ask Pearl Boshomane Tsotetsi, a journalist based in South Africa who lost her beloved Fenty Beauty Highlighter Palette after her daughter went in on it to the point of wreckage while she was being supervised by three men.

Tsotetsi, who goes by @Pearloysias on Twitter, posted about the devastating situation on Monday, October 21, in a Tweet that reads, "RIP to my Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil highlighter set." The tweet also includes two photos: one of her daughter's adorable face decked out in rainbow highlighter and one of the smashed palette. The post had already garnered over 5,000 likes and 1,000 retweets after it had been up for less than a day.

The story doesn't end there, though. In a follow-up post, Tsotetsi writes: "I am livid mostly (99%) because she was in the care of three adult males. I had to ask them where she was. If you don’t hear a toddler for more than five seconds, you’ve got a problem. That’s what I get for trusting men."

Additionally, she says that she only left her daughter for 10 minutes while she was in the kitchen and that the men were on their phones the entire time. "I am still angry. What if something had happened to her?!" she exclaims. (As one user points out, the makeup could've easily been drain cleaner or something else extremely dangerous.)

The good news is there's a happy ending: Fenty Beauty saw Tsotetsi's tweet and swooped in to save the day by offering to send her a brand-new palette for free. "They are off the hook," Tsotetsi tells her followers.

And there you have it, folks: a beauty disaster turned into a beautiful makeup moment, courtesy of Fenty Beauty.
